1 Gigabyte of traffic per month and charge 4 cents or more per megabyte
over your allocation. With a graphic intensive website, if you had
even a moderate amount of traffic, you could easily exceed your bandwidth
allotment by 1 Gig per month and have to pay over $40.00 extra per

Q: CAN PEOPLE COPY MY ARTWORK OFF THE WEBSITE?

| A: We have special scripting in place so
that the "right click" to copy is disabled. In addition, the resolution
we use for the prints looks great online but it would be a waste of
time for anyone to copy them. We also put warnings on every page.
And I can put an embossed text copyright on your prints if you wish
to make them 'unusable' for reprint. However, if someone wants your
prints badly enough, they will probably find a way to get them ....
I just make sure that the quality of what they would get is undesirable
enough to make their trying a waste of time. |

| A: We have POP 3 E-Mail accounts available

| Q: What is the maximum size file I can
send with my e-mail? |
| A: Our e-mail system is set to restrict
e-mail files over 3 MB to prevent "mail bomb" attacks. |
| Q: What is the UCE/SPAM or mass mailing
policy? |
| A: Creative Galleries does not allow customers
to send out "Unsolicited Bulk E-mail" using our servers and has a
zero tolerance towards the sending of SPAM via our servers and network.
If Creative Galleries or it's carriers receive any form of complaint
that someone received unsolicited e-mail emanating from your account
or mailed from an outside firm but referencing your account, our administrator
will open an investigation into the complaint. 95% of first time investigations
result in account termination. If 2 or more complaints come in on
a single day, there is a 99.9% chance your account will be instantly
terminated. Please be very careful with any form of mass mail campaigns,
or for that matter even just a small mailing list, as it is not pleasant
for us to close down an account and lose you as a customer. |

A. I charge a one time $99.00 setup fee ... simply
because of the extensive amount of work involved in creating an
honest-to-goodness real E-Commerce web site this large. (I even
charge the same setup fee if you have 1 gallery or 10 galleries
... which is more than fair) The charge is for my time as a professional
webmaster. Yes, I am a professional webmaster. I have real businesses
(from a large state agency to a local car repair shop) that I charge
"real money" to make their web sites.

I can even break this down further for you ... if you are interested
Per Page:
If you get 1 gallery the cost per page is $6.19
per page for an E-Commerce web site.
If you get 2 galleries the cost per page is $3.41
per page or if you get 3 galleries the cost would be $2.36 per page.
If you have ever checked out the price of having
a web site designed that you can accent credit cards on ... you
will know that this price is low enough to be laughable.
Per Hour:
Keeping track of my hours to make and code etc.
an E-Commerce site this large... here is my breakdown:
For 1 gallery I end up making $3.96 per hour ...
for 2 galleries I make $2.48 per hour ... and so on.
Believe me ... this will not end up making me a rich woman!!!!

| Q. IF YOU MAKE SO LITTLE FROM THE SET UP
... WHY ARE YOU ASKING FOR THE $99.00 AT ALL? |

A. I give alot for for very little money and I expect a monitary
commitment in return. Here is a prime example of what happens without
any monitary commitment.
Example:
The webmaster/online gallery owner gives the artist a FREE web
site. But ... since it didn't cost the artist anything ... what
is the incentive for the artist to actually go out and WORK to market
the website for the next many years? Yes, people .... YEARS ...
not ... DAYS! Just because you are artists (I am an artist too)
does not mean you can't understand that if you want a successful
business it will take you years of hard work ... just like any other
business on earth! So, anyhow, after a couple of months and few
or no sales the artist says ... " I'm not happy with my sales
.... The gallery must be no good".
The result then is the artist never understands that no matter
where he/she goes and what he/she endeavors it is HE/SHE that needs
to work to be successful. And the gallery owner has invested many
many hours and ended up with the artist blaming the gallery owner.
Trust me ... I have better ways to spend my time.
NOW ... some of you would argue with me and say "Oh, but I
would work really hard if you gave ME a free web site!"
SO ... Let me ask you ... and answer me honestly .... just how
many free places have you put your artwork in and just how much
real work have to done to promote that gallery? Have you spent a
dime to advertise it? Have you written a press release for it? Is
it on your business cards? In fact, do you even remember all the
free gallery urls you might have submitted to?

A. In one word .... it's called HOSTING. Everybody online pays
for the space that they occupy. EVERYBODY.
To further explain:
#1 For instance... if you had your own web site and wanted it to
be on the Internet (hosted) you could go to www.earthlink.net and
they would charge you $20.00 per month or you could go to www.fortunecity.com
and pay $14.95 per month or go to www.cheaphosting.com and pay $10.00
per month to have space on the Internet in which to put your web
site. Now, they won't make your web site for you or put it up online
for you or set up your email ... and if you have problems you will
need to figure it out yourself or get ahold of their tech support.
This is called HOSTING.
#2 If you "host" with me, I charge $6.95 per month and
do all of the work for you and deal with any technical problems
etc. as well.
#3 There are also "free hosting" web sites on the Internet.
And your "payment" to them will be by having advertising
banners and pop-up windows and extremely limited traffic to your
web site.

| A. If you would rather make your own web
site and put it on a "free hosting" service ... then that

site for any given day or month all you have to do is to ask me. But
how much traffic will your web site get? I don't know ... How much

FROM THE TRAFFIC OF THE OTHER ARTISTS? |

A. Of course, it stands to reason that each time a visitor comes
to www.creativegalleries.com he/she will look around. (why do you
think that I have my gallery here instead of having my own artist
web site?)
For example ... when I had my big October art show and paid for
2 weeks of cable TV advertising all of the other artist's traffic
numbers went up as a result.
However, traffic doesn't mean sales. It means that people are looking
at your art.
I am on the Board of Directors for my area Art Guild and I am always
telling the artists in the Art Guild, "We can get the people
in to see your art ... we cannot make them buy your art"

| Q. HOW MANY PRINTS WILL I SELL FROM YOUR
GALLERY? |

A. "How do I know?"
Yes, that did sound rather testy .... didn't it. But ... really!
The real answer is in the real question of "How much work
are YOU going to do to promote your own work and website so that
you will sell prints? Do you go to shows? Do you have your web site
address on your business cards and give them out to everybody? Do
your write press releases. What do you do?"
Here is a true story for you.
I, being a professional web master, was talking to a car lot owner
about making him a web site. During our conversation he asked me,
"How many cars are you going to sell from this web site?"
I replied, "NONE".
I continued by telling him that, "You are paying me to design
a nice web site for you and to put it on the Internet and make sure
that I have done the proper meta tags and submissions etc. for you.
Which I will do and do very well. I, however, will spend my time
going out and actually selling your cars when you employ me and
pay me to sell your cars. But, I can and will teach YOU how
to best use YOUR web site to make money and to save money."
Did I get the job? .... I sure did! Who says that honesty doesn't
pay?

| Q. IF YOU CAN'T GUARANTEE ME SALES FOR
MY ART, WHY SHOULD I BE IN YOUR GALLERY? |
| A.** THERE IS NO MAGIC BULLET **
I am the webmaster to many businesses, not only an
artist gallery, and I always start with educating the clients on
what they can and cannot expect from a website. Most folks want
me to say that the web site I make them will result in XXX number
of sales or XXX amount of profit and XXX number of traffic. And
while I as a professional webmaster can and will do all of the coding
for proper meta tags, keywords, and all of the submitting to search
engines, etc. .... a business owner cannot just sit back and expect
any web site to rake in the $$$$ without doing any work. It is only
with hard work and persistence that any business (online or otherwise)
will succeed.
This is not always what folks want to hear ... but
it is always honest.
Now, I have to admit that this has cost me some sales
in the past. And it probably will in the future. But then ... honesty
has it's own rewards ... I think that you will agree.
Besides, anybody that can not or will not understand
this simple principle would be better off going elsewhere! LOL

Q. WHY WON'T YOU PROMOTE AND SELL MY ART WORK FOR ME?

| A. I do not charge commissions
or fees ...
I charge for my time as a webmaster and for the hosting.
You are not paying me to go out and sell your artwork. You are not
paying me to advertise in my local paper or stand on the street
corner yelling your name or paying me to spend 20 hours a week online
promoting you.
If, however, you want to employ me to market you and
your artwork ... fine. We can talk about that as I have an extensive
background in marketing and charge accordingly.

| Q. SO HOW DO I USE MY WEB SITE? |

A. Here is a scenario that shows one of the real benefits of a
website:
Mrs. Smith is at an art show and looks at a wonderful print, admires
it, but does not buy it. 6 months later she remembers the print
and would like to have it .... would very much like to have it.
Now, what do you think the chances are that Mrs. Smith will end
up in the same place as that artist and be able to purchase that
print in the future? Slim if any chance at all! However, if Mrs.
Smith had the url of the artist's online gallery ..... at least
the artist has a chance to sell that print.
There are many other ways as well and if you have read down this

I am proud of my Creative Galleries on-line gallery. I have worked
very hard to
make it a gallery that I am not only proud to be the webmaster
of but proud
to be an artist in.
I am also proud to have the very talented artists that are in
my gallery.
I welcome serious and committed artists into my gallery with open
arms. I know that by working together we will succeed well into
the future. I know that they will realize and appreciate the time
and effort that I put forth in everybody's behalf. And I also know
that we all are willing and capable enough to reach our goals as
artists and as good business men/women.
